5 months down

5 months down and we are:

• Praying for the end of winter
• Finally  hanging new dining room lights
• Hitting the sack really early…Feb is a tiring month
• Celebrating Garret’s 29th birthday (CAN’T wait til he is in his 30s too)
• Bundling up to take family style walks with the dog
• Preparing early for spring cleaning
• Living weekend to weekend lately
• Also Celebrating my Mother in law’s big birthday (yesterday!)
• Shoveling unending piles of snow
• Excited for the gender reveal of my friends twins–two boys yay!
• Continuing to enjoy puppy parenthood
• Planning spring projects
• Attempting to live under our new budget. boo

4 months down

4 months down and we are:

• Marathoning 24
• Eating our words after bragging about Brooklyn being house trained
• Organizing our upstairs! Closet is nearly finished and I am loving all the storage space options we have!!!
• Making Christmas presents for next year–nerd alert–this is totally something I am doing not so much G
• Cuddling for warmth cause our house is FREEZING
• Training Brooklyn to stop peeing in the house *still
• Learning how to be good puppy parents *still
• Planning Garret’s annual birthday bonanza
• Laughing  at the weirdo positions we keep finding B sleeping in
• Surprising my brother for his 30th birthday
• Discovering how to use our digital SLR better and loving it

3 months down

3 months down and we are:

• Watching Sons of Anarchy and still loving in!
• Anticipating going to see The Hobbit
• Organizing our basement..I now have a craft nook…pics to follow
• Wrapping Christmas presents…finished shopping on Monday yay
• Loving receiving Christmas cards addressed to ‘The Walsh Family’
• Training Brooklyn to stop peeing in the house
• Learning how to be good puppy parents
• Planning for some family style naps over Christmas
• Thinking about New Year Resolutions (I love the promise of a new year and a new start!)
• Counting down the sleeps til Christmas
• Listing the crafting I plan to get done over the break
• Slowing down to enjoy this time, right now, that we have together

2 months down

2 months down and we are:

• Stalking the mail to see if our wedding pics have come in
• Listening to Babel by Mumford and Sons on repeat
• Watching Sons of Anarchy
• Eating Lots of Soup and Stew
• Making our lists and checking them twice
• Reveling in how amazing our upstairs is looking
• Planning our next renovation moves
• Reading Casual Vacancy (not G obviously)
• Hitting the gym (not me obviously)
• Daydreaming of a vacation
• Thinking of fun winter plans
• Drinking lots of tea in the evenings lately
• Snuggling our sweet little Brooklyn

 

Rango

G and I watched Rango last night and had an important discussion.  I have written it up in list form:

Creatures G vetoed me bringing home EVER as pets:

• Hedgehogs
• Toads, Frogs or Newts
• Bunnies
• Turtles
• Lizards including chameleons
• Mice
• Rats
• Rodents of any kind (yes including moles)
• Snakes (didnt really want one so its ok)
• Fish

He is NO FUN AT ALL.  I am however allowed to have a dog (yay) and one day soon we are going to get a Wiener dog named Gus and our family will be complete…for a while at least.  I am pretty sure he only said yes to a dog in the hopes that it will make me want to wait 3 more years for a baby. (psssst just a secret between us?  It won’t work!)
